The limited edition winter series for 2021 also features a scene from "Winter in Moominvalley."
"Winter in Moominvalley" is a story about Moomin, who wakes up in the middle of hibernation and cannot sleep, experiencing winter for the first time in his life. It has been used in 16 seasonal limited edition designs by MOOMIN ARABIA since 2006. The design shows Moomin, Little My and Mischievous watching the snow horse sprinting at an amazing speed in the moonlight until it becomes just a dot on the horizon. The other side of the design features the moonlit landscape, an illustration that appears on the first page of the novel. Tove Jansson is a master of expressing seasons and weather with just simple lines, and the lines are effectively drawn in the snowy moonlight sky, vividly conveying the setting of the story.
