<Moomin Artist Collaboration Series>
To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the publication of the first Moomin novel, a collaborative project has been launched with two artists, Rika Kawahigashi and Sawako Hoshi.
This project began with each of them choosing a Moomin novel.
Rika Kawahigashi chose "The Moomins" and Sawako Hoshi chose "The Comet in Moomin Valley," and they created designs from illustrations from their respective novels.

The novel that is the origin of the Moomin works. From "The Comet in Moomin Valley," we aimed to create a chic and beautiful design for adults, regardless of gender.
We designed a fantastical world, taking advantage of the charm of the delicate and beautiful forests depicted by Tove Jansson, who loved nature.
Sawako Hoshi
She is a textile designer living in Helsinki who has provided designs for Marimekko, among other things.
I create designs based on the theme of "natural beauty and landscapes in memory."
This mini towel is convenient to carry around.
We use organic cotton that is grown without pesticides and is gentle on the skin.
Other key points are its soft, gentle texture and good absorbency.
