-About Saisei Bizen The Saisei Bizen series is pottery made using a technique called Yakishime.
It is also called "stoneware".
The surface is rough when you first start using it, but the edges will gradually round off and it will have a soft texture.

- Care instructions: Even though it is not glazed, it has low water absorption and is strong enough.
It can be washed with ordinary dishwashing detergent and can be cared for in the same way as ordinary ceramics.
There is no need to seal the pores with rinsing water or boil the product when first using it. (If you soak it in water overnight beforehand, it will be less susceptible to dirt.)
