In 1901, Danish architect PV Jensen Klint was inspired by the Japanese art of origami and created handmade lampshades made by folding paper in regular patterns.
Created as an extension of the Klint family's hobby, these shades became known worldwide as masterpieces of lighting not only beautiful in design but also highly functional, and Le Klint was founded in 1943.
In 2003, the company celebrated its 60th anniversary, and was selected as a supplier to the Danish Royal Family. The company's designs and traditional techniques, which have been honed in the Nordic lifestyle where people live with their long, harsh winters, have been carefully passed down through the ages.

This is the LE KLINT Moomin model, a table lamp designed with Moomin art.
It features a hand-folded shade and mouth-blown glass stand.
