The "storm glass" (weather gauge), which was used as a weather forecasting tool during voyages in Europe in the early 19th century, now comes with a cute, slimy design!
It is said that the appearance of the crystals in the liquid changes depending on the weather and temperature, so you can enjoy watching the unique changes in the crystals.
A storm glass is a glass container containing multiple chemicals dissolved in alcohol. It is also known as the "FitzRoy's weather gauge" after Admiral Robert FitzRoy of the British Navy studied the device in detail.
The liquid and crystals will slowly and uniquely change depending on the surrounding weather conditions, so please enjoy it as an ornamental interior object.
*This cannot be used to accurately predict the weather. Also, there may be a discrepancy between weather changes and crystal changes.
*Please note that as these are handmade products, there will be individual differences in the shape of the glass.
*When the temperature rises, the liquid crystals will melt and become transparent, but this does not mean the product is defective.
*There are glass protrusions on the back of the product, but this is due to the manufacturing process.
Orders containing this product cannot be delivered by airmail.
