■ Akahada ware Akahada ware is a type of pottery whose kilns are scattered around Nara City and Yamatokoriyama City in Nara Prefecture.It is said to have begun when Hidenaga Toyotomi, the younger brother of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and lord of Yamatokoriyama Castle, invited potters from Tokoname in Aichi Prefecture to have tea utensils fired on Mount Akahada.
