The Flying Moomin, depicted riding a black panther, is a character that only appears in Tove Jansson's third picture book, Moomins (published in 1948).
The illustrations used are based on the original work, and the backgrounds are also drawn in accordance with the original story.
This beautiful illustration took about two years to create, with a design process that involved a lot of trial and error.
