The Moomin Arabia mug collection will be adding the slightly larger 400ml "Blue" and "Yellow" mugs. The "Blue" and "Yellow" mugs were originally 300ml in size and were sold by Arabia from 1990 to 1996, and were very popular. The 400ml mugs being released this time have been redesigned by ceramicist and illustrator Tove Slotte to fit the 400ml mugs, based on the design from that time.
The "Blue" mug is a collection of illustrations from several novels and comic book stories, featuring all members of the Moomin family contributing art, as well as Moomintroll, the iconic signature of the Moomin Arabia collection, which is also the logo on the comic book cover.
A slightly larger mug that was released exclusively in Finland in 2021 and was well received will be available in Japan on September 21, 2022. Enjoy your hearty coffee, cocoa, hearty soup, and more.
