MOOMINARABIA Mug 2023 [Moomin Valley Park Exclusive]

This is the second edition of the "MOOMIN ARABIA Moomin Valley Park Original Mug," which was the only MOOMIN ARABIA Moomin mug released as a limited edition outside Finland when Moomin Valley Park opened in 2019 and has been hugely popular, attracting attention from fans around the world!

The design, which depicts a lively scene of characters such as the Moomin family, Snufkin, Miss Mymble, and the Primadonna Horse running one after another, was inspired by a series of illustrations that Tove Jansson created for a bank in 1956.

Designer Tove Slotte saw this illustration and thought of people rushing to Moomin Valley Park. "This illustration is based on the image of people rushing to Moomin Valley Park when it opens in 2019. I wanted to create a mug that was one of a kind, so I used an image that hasn't been used in any other story," she said.

The 2019 mug had a pale color background reminiscent of Moomin Valley Park at sunset, but this time it depicts a fantastical evening garden party celebrating the King's birthday from the novel "Moominpappa's Memories." The turquoise blue background creates a somewhat fantastical atmosphere, and the Moomins are depicted returning home after a fun day with wonderful memories. When placed next to the 2019 mug, the design makes you feel the joy of the transition from evening to night.

The bottom of the mug has a special "MOOMINVALLEY PARK" backstamp, and the box is also made in a Tobetsu style exclusive to this mug. This is a recommended item for gifts as well as for collections.
