He learned to draw from an early age and eventually became a successful painter and illustrator.
He also showed a talent for storytelling, publishing his first Moomin novel, "The Little Troll and the Great Flood," in 1945.
He brought "Moomin" into the world.
In addition to "Moomin," he has a wide range of creative activities, including as a fresco painter, stage designer, and filmmaker.
His passion for his work never faded until his death in 2001.
There has been growing interest in her outlook on life, in which she sticks to her own beliefs while interacting with many people, and a film depicting her life was released in 2021.
