2024 marks the 110th anniversary of Tove Jansson's birth.
Tove Jansson was born in 1914 in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, as the daughter of a sculptor and a commercial painter. She learned to draw from an early age and eventually became a painter and illustrator. She also showed a talent for writing stories, and in 1945 she published the first Moomin novel, "The Little Troll and the Great Flood," introducing "Moomins" to the world.
In addition to "Moomin," he was involved in a wide range of creative activities, including as a fresco painter, stage designer and filmmaker, and his passion for his work never waned until his death in 2001.
There has been growing interest in her outlook on life, in which she sticks to her own beliefs while interacting with many people, and a film depicting her life was released in 2021.
