Speaking of Moomin and Christmas, I am also reminded of the story in the novel "Moominvalley Friends" in which the Moomin family experiences their first Christmas.
In that story, the Moomins see the residents of Moominvalley busy preparing for Christmas and mistake Christmas for something scary. The Moomins prepare for Christmas in preparation for the threat, but at the end of the story, the Moomins are considerate of the little Knits who long for Christmas, and share the tree, presents and food they have prepared with them, so the Knits are able to celebrate their first Christmas. It's a heartwarming story.
I like what Kunit says at the end, "As long as the way of thinking is right, it doesn't really matter whether you have it or not," and I feel like it teaches us that beautiful things can remain the same even if they're not perfect.
This Christmas, why not try spending a warm and inviting time just like the Moomin family, who share their kindness with others with all their heart? Even if you don't prepare perfectly, it will be a wonderful time.
